With Carlos Gardel, César Fiaschi, Inés Murray, Celedonio Esteban Flores, Francisco Canaro, Enrique Santos Discépolo, Arturo de Nava, and others. This 1935 film compiles ten of the fifteen short musical films Gardel recorded in 1930 under Morera’s direction, produced in the studio of pioneer filmmaker Federico Valle.

A vital historical document and a foundational moment in Argentine sound cinema, featuring songs such as “Padrino pelao”, “Mano a mano”, “Tengo miedo”, “Yira, yira”, and more.

This screening will feature a newly restored 35mm print created from the original negative by Cinecolor Lab in Argentina, commissioned by the Fundación Cinemateca Argentina.
