​What does it mean to create, to bring something new into being, and what can creativity tell us about the mind? When we draw on the depths of consciousness, or of the unconscious, to make something that did not exist before, what is really happening? Is human creativity at bottom the same kind of process as the processing of information in computers and AI? Or does it belong to a different sphere altogether, one our culture may need to rediscover?

Oxford philosopher Victoria Trumbull, author of the book On the Memory of the Soul. Augustine and Bergson’s Metaphysics, will join PhD candidate at the University of Bergen Eirik Fevang in a conversation to explore these questions and to shed some light on the mystery of mind and creation.
